Global Engineer Labは、グローバルに仕事をしたいエンジニアたちが集まるコミュニティです。 将来シリコンバレーやアジアで働きたい、もしくは日本を拠点に海外と仕事をしたいなどの、 グローバル志向を持ったエンジニア仲間が集います。

meet up概要

第6回目は、海外ベトナムにて、ラボ型の開発の立ち上げに取り組んできた2名のエンジニアが、実際に開発する上でおきた、品質の認識の違いやDB設計など、開発の障壁をどうやって解決したのかを、言語・文化・考え方が違うメンバーと働く中で、発生する問題含めて、サービス開発の裏側について話します。

また、アジアならではの、

• テスト品質の当たり前レベルの認識の違いへの楽しい対処の方法
• 責任感のすり替えや日本人特有の空気を読むが通用しない現地エンジニアへの高度な対応手法（怒涛のピザパーティ♪）
• チームビルディングを目的とした、エンジニア同士のコイバナトーク など、現地で働き、ベトナム人エンジニアを知りつくした2人が、仕事と生活の2つの視点で、海外で働くリアルをお伝えします。

アメリカ、東南アジアなど、海外経験豊富なエンジニアと TOEIC300点台で、ベトナムのラボ開発で初めて海外渡航した超ドメスティックなエンジニア の2名がお送りするGlobal EngineerLab#6は、 すべてのエンジニアにとって、海外で働くことを身近に感じて頂ける会になります。（Maybe!!）

1.｢ベトナムにおけるネイティブアプリーション開発の事例とソースコードの品質について｣

ベトナムで開発されたアプリのソースコードを引き継ぎました、苦労とよかったことを話します。

2.｢ベトナムにて0から始めるラボ開発｣

ベトナムラボ開発を0から始めて体制構築から軌道に乗るまでにいくつもの障壁を如何にして乗り越えてきたか、やりがいを重点にお話しします。

参加者同士の英語ワークショップ（英語)･･･30分

「英語を使って働く」を体験してみようということで、グループに分かれて簡単に英語でシェアリングを行います。アイスブレイクを目的とした英語での自己紹介と英語でのディスカッションを予定しているので、気軽にご参加ください。

1. ｢自己紹介」（1人1分程度）
2. 「エンジニアとして取り組んでいること」（1人2～3分程度）
3. 「海外エンジニアと一緒に働く機会があったらやってみたいこと」（1人2～3分程度）

※ワークショップは4～5人のグループで行なっていただきます。

放送関連→SIer→モバイル企業→レアジョブ。インフラをメインに経験し、前職よりWebアプリ開発を経験。レアジョブでも当初はインフラとしてJOIN。後にアプリ開発に移り、API開発を担当

Global Engineers Lab is a community for engineers who want to work globally. Among the member are engineers who are ambitious for working in Silicon Valley, or for working in Japan with worldwide companies. They think globally.

meet up Overview

In the Global Engineer lab #6, 2 engineers who have engaged in starting up of lab development in Viet Nam will talk about how they solved various problems such as difference in recognition of quality or DB design. They will also talk about behind the scene of service development including issues they have faced in a cross-cultural work environment.

The 2 engineers, who have full knowledge of Vietnamese engineers, will also tell you the real of working overseas from the perspective of both work and life, such as; How to deal with the difference in notion of a standard level of Test quality How to deal with the local engineers who do not understand switching of responsibility or the air peculiar to the Japanese. (Pizza Party!) * Boys/Girls talk among engineers for the team building

Global EngineerLab#6 with 2 two engineers with no comparison; one with abundant experience of working overseas such as America or Southeast Asia, and another who with TOEIC 300 and only one-time experience in Viet Nam will be good chance for you to think of working overseas as something close to your life.（Maybe!!）

In addition to these, there will be a workshop in English, too.

1.“Cases and source code quality of native app development in Viet Nam” RareJob Inc. Marketing Development Dept. Mobile Developer Mr. Haneda

I’ve taken over source code of apps developed in Viet Nam. I’ll talk about the struggles and the outcome.

2.”Lab development starting from 0 (zero) in Vietnam ” RareJob Inc. Service Development Dept. Mr. Iwahori

I will talk mainly about what and how I have done to get over a series of problems and hurdles in the process of system construction of Viet Nam lab development.

Workshop among participants (English)･･･30分

To experience “to work in English,” participants will be divided into small groups and in each group they have conversation. Please do not hesitate to participate, the purpose of this workshop is to break the ice through self-introduction and discussions in English.

2. "What are you doing as an engineer" (2-3 minutes / person)
3. What you want to do if you work with other engineers (2-3 minutes / person) ※Each team will have 4 to 5 people.

Profile

RareJob Inc. Mobile Developer Mr. Haneda

He was previously involved in infrastructure in a leading web company, native app application, and Vietnam lab development, then he joined RareJob in June as a Mobile Developer.

RareJob Inc. Web Developer Mr. Iwahori

He had worked in a broadcasting company, SIer, and a mobile company before he joined RareJob. His previous work mainly involved infrastructure, but he also experienced web app development. He joined the infra team when he joined RareJob and later he was involved in app development. Currentl he is in charge of API development.
